The Centre for Muslim Wellbeing (CMW) aims to increase the wellbeing of Muslim communities, CMW will achieve this through focusing on prevention and early intervention, raising awareness around the issues of mental health and social isolation within community and ensuring community members have the support they need before they get to crisis.

CMW’s services include the following:

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Awareness Workshops for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities (CALD)
  • The CMW Navigator Service is someone who community members can call with questions and/or seek support in navigating the health and social service system
  • Training and professional development courses designed to build awareness, knowledge and capacity of mental health sector organisations
  • Culturally Responsive practitioner list to ensure community members have a choice and can find the best health practitioner that serves their needs

Our services have been conceived and designed by the Muslim community, to respond to needs identified within that community. They seek to build understanding and capacity within community, as well as support key stakeholders serving the community to improve access, inclusion and delivery.
